Securely mount the camera or place it on a stable shelf with a clear, unobstructed view of the crib. Aim for a position roughly 3 to 5 feet away. Avoid pointing it directly toward a window or bright light source.
App
The Monai app runs on iOS 15+ and Android 10+. You can log into your account securely across multiple devices.
Yes. Share secure access with up to 5 trusted family members. Everyone gets their own login to view the live feed and stay updated.
No. Core monitoring, AI proactive alerts, and live video are available without any mandatory monthly fees. Optional add-ons, such as extended cloud backup, are available if you choose, but they are never required for essential safety.
WiFi & Connectivity
Monai connects to 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz WiFi (WPA2/WPA3). A minimum 2 Mbps upload speed is recommended for smooth live video.
Yes. Your monitor will continue recording securely to the local microSD card even if your internet drops. However, live remote viewing and instant push notifications require an active WiFi connection.
Make sure your camera is within good WiFi range. Try moving your router closer or using a WiFi extender. If the issue persists, reboot the camera by unplugging it for 10 seconds, then reconnecting.
Alerts
In the app, go to Settings > Alerts. You can adjust the sensitivity for crying, motion, and sleep/wake detection to match your family's routine.
Try slightly lowering the sensitivity in Settings > Alerts. Also make sure the camera has a clear view of the crib and is not aimed at a moving fan, curtain, or TV in the background.
Yes. In Settings > Alerts, you can create custom schedules to mute non-urgent notifications while you sleep. Critical safety notifications, such as covered-face alerts, are designed to always reach you.
Privacy & Data
No, not by default. Your footage is securely saved to the included local microSD card with advanced encryption. Video data only goes to the cloud if you explicitly choose to enable optional cloud backups.
